Meet Dr. Demetris Stavrou

Dr. Demetris Stavrou, MD, MSc, leads the European Institute of Plastic Surgery. Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, he comes from a family of doctors. He graduated from the University of Athens Medical School and completed his Plastic Surgery residency at Chaim Sheba Medical Center in Israel. He further specialized in Advanced Aesthetic Surgery at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Stavrou has expertise in breast reconstruction, post-weight-loss cosmetic surgery, facelifts, burn reconstruction, and skin cancer surgery. He is an Assistant Professor at St George’s, University of London, and the University of Nicosia Medical School. He is also affiliated with the University of Cardiff and is a member of EBOPRAS and ASPS.
