A plastic surgery practice founded by Dr. Demetris Stavrou in 2012, working across Cyprus, Greece and Malta. Two specialist plastic surgeons consult here. Cosmetic and reconstructive work are both part of the practice, and the training behind them is the same.
How we work

A consultation exists to establish whether an operation is the right answer, and if it is, which one. It is a conversation about what is bothering you, what surgery can and cannot change, and what the recovery will actually ask of you. Nobody is asked to decide on the day.
The right candidate for surgery is someone with realistic expectations who recognises the limits of medical science, and whose decision is their own — taken with full understanding and without pressure from anyone else.
Two halves of one specialty
Plastic surgery divides into two sub-specialties. Both are practised here, and the second is the foundation of the first.
Reconstructive surgery
Restores function and appearance, and repairs damage caused by trauma, conditions present at birth, or disease — skin surgery for skin cancer and breast reconstruction after breast cancer are typical examples. Reconstructive surgery is the basis of surgical training in the specialty.
Cosmetic surgery
Changes appearance where function is unaffected. It can be performed on the head, neck and body, and its aims are proportion, symmetry and balance rather than transformation. Many plastic surgeons complete further training in it after reconstructive training.
The surgeons
Both are specialist plastic surgeons — a title that means completed higher surgical training on a specialist register, not a description of an interest.
Where we work
Consultations are held at 3 clinics and at Clinica Joia in Malta. Surgery itself is performed at The Surgery Center 3i, Tseriou 188, Strovolos, 2044, Cyprus, or in surgical facilities in Athens and Malta — not at the consulting rooms.

Consultations can be arranged at any of the clinics. If you are travelling from abroad, the appointment and the surgery are planned around the trip.
