Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. It does not load a tag manager, an advertising pixel, a chat widget or a third-party font service. That is a design decision, and it is the reason there is no consent banner in front of the content.

1. What is stored in your browser

One item, and only if you use the before-and-after galleries.

Type — Session storage (not a cookie) Purpose — Records that you chose to view before-and-after photographs, so the gate does not ask again on every gallery during the same visit. Kept for — Until you close the browser tab Consent — Not required — strictly necessary for a feature you asked for

The site's host, Cloudflare, may record technical information in its server logs in order to deliver pages and defend against attacks. Any cookie Cloudflare sets for security is strictly necessary and will be listed here before the site goes public.

2. Why the imagery gate is not a cookie

Before-and-after photographs are not shown until you ask to see them. When you do, that choice has to be remembered for the rest of your visit, otherwise the notice appears again on every gallery and the gate becomes an obstacle rather than a protection.

The choice is stored in your browser's session storage rather than in a cookie. It is never sent to a server, it is not readable by anyone else, it identifies nobody, and it is deleted when you close the tab. Storage used solely to provide a feature you explicitly requested is strictly necessary, and prior consent is not required for it — which matters, because a consent banner needed in order to operate a privacy gate would be an absurd result.

How the before-and-after gate works

3. The enquiry form

The enquiry form sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. What you send goes to the practice and nowhere else. How it is handled after that is set out in the privacy policy.

4. If analytics is ever added

Nothing that identifies or tracks you will be loaded before you have agreed to it. That is a commitment about sequence, not only about disclosure: no measurement script will run on first load, no identifier will be set in advance of a choice, and refusing will be as easy as accepting.

If measurement is introduced it will be a privacy-preserving, cookieless product that does not build a profile of you, and this page will list it before it is switched on.

5. Controlling what is stored

Every browser can block or clear cookies and site data from its settings, and clearing site data for this domain removes the gallery choice described in section 1. Blocking storage entirely does not stop the site working; the galleries simply stay closed until you open them again.
