Dr. Demetris Stavrou, Uzman Plastik Cerrah ve EIPS'in kurucusu.

Dr. Demetris Stavrou, Kıbrıs'ın Lefkoşa kentinde doğdu. Doktorlardan oluşan bir ailede büyüdü ve doktor ile hasta arasındaki ilişkiyi erken yaşta kavradı. University of Athens Medical School'dan mezun oldu ve plastik cerrahi ihtisasını İsrail'in Tel-Hashomer kentindeki Chaim Sheba Medical Center'da tamamladı.

Orada kozmetik ve rekonstrüktif plastik cerrahi eğitimi aldı ve Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery'de İleri Estetik Cerrahi alanında bir fellowship ile devam etti.

Meme kanseri sonrası meme rekonstrüksiyonuna ve kilo verme cerrahisi sonrası kozmetik işlemlere olan ilgisi, kariyerinin başından itibaren belirgindi. Ayrıca yüz germe, yanık rekonstrüksiyonu ve cilt kanseri cerrahisine yönelik özel tekniklerde eğitim almıştır.

Yurt dışındaki tıp merkezlerinde misafir cerrah olarak çalışır ve araştırmaya olan ilgisini sürdürmekte, yayımlanmış bir dizi bilimsel makalesi bulunmaktadır.

2012'den beri St George's, University of London'da ve University of Nicosia Tıp Fakültesi'nde Yardımcı Doçent görevini sürdürmektedir. Birleşik Krallık'taki University of Cardiff School of Medicine'da Fahri Öğretim Görevlisi, European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) üyesi ve American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) uluslararası üyesidir.

Dr. Stavrou 2012'den beri plastik cerrah olarak çalışmaktadır.
